Drum Brake Booster for Land Cruiser FJ40 / FJ45 / FJ55 / BJ40

$175.00

Brand new brake booster for Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, FJ45, FJ55, and BJ40 with 4 wheel drum brakes: 7/'70 to 9/'75 U.S. spec models, and non-U.S. models through '84.

There is no longer a need to search out junk yards for a 20+ year old substitute booster that doesn't fit your vehicle. This high quality brake booster is plug-and-play, and can be installed in as little as 30 minutes without needing to disconnect any brake line or bleed the brakes.

Our booster is designed to be installed with a spacer so that you have ample clearance to the clutch master cylinder. The spacer is included.

Price includes a new check valve.
No core charge.

Interchangeable part numbers: 44610-60030, 44610-60040, 44610-60010, 44610-60011, 44610-60160, 44610-60190

FAQ:
Q: What is the warranty on this booster?
A: As with all of our exclusive products, our warranty matches the Toyota OEM warranty, which is 1 year.

Q: I converted to disc brakes, and the brakes work fine with the original booster. Why do you state it cannot be used with disc brakes?
A: This booster will provide identical performance to OEM unit if not better. However, due to safety and legal reasons, we cannot recommend usage of the product beyond the factory spec. When disc brake was introduced on the FJ40, Toyota equipped the vehicle with a dual diaphragm booster.

Tip:
Please be sure your master cylinder is not leaking fluid or exceedingly old. Brake fluid that leaks out from the back of the master cylinder will get sucked in by vacuum into the booster. Once inside the booster, brake fluid will erode the rubber diaphragm inside and kill the booster. If the MC is old but not yet leaking, we recommend replacing it at the same time as the booster, because the power from a new booster may just push it over the edge. It's false economy to wait until a leak develops.
